Thanks for the post, it was a story told to me while I was up at Makgapansgat (Limpopo region) told to me by one of the Wits university archaeologists, about 10 years ago. The skull was discovered up in Limpopo, near Venda.
It was most likely something used in a muti ritual. Freaky stuff!!
